A few words from the Trustees
We are a relatively new dance group which started up in July 2010 with the support of a Lottery Grant Award. We are run by disabled volunteers for the benefit of disabled people We offer opportunities for social and physical activity through dance and welcome all disabled people (wheelchair and non wheelchair users) and their carers or family and friends.
Since our launch event we have grown to over 30 members.
Our qualified dance instructor, has undertaken a Level 1 Instructor’s course covering medical and dance theory.
We mostly dance in formation either partnering another wheelchair user or a standing partner. We will learn to dance all styles of dance including the Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot and Quickstep and Latin dances such as the Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive including some Country and Western.
We are always keen for volunteers to help us. If this interests you please do get in touch.
Isca Wheelchair Dancers offer public demonstrations so if you would like to see us dance, why not get in touch.
We hope you will be inspired to come along and join our dance group.
If you would like to make a donation to our charity we would very much appreciate the support. Financial support can help us employ volunteers to help the group, transportation costs and day to day running costs.
Best wishes
